Phrase of the week

Hi everybody!! This week we have the expression "That’ll teach you", which is said when somebody did something that you don't really like and then they have a negative result. It is used both in speaking and writing, and only in a informal context (not in a formal one).

Example:

• Have you heard? Matthew was cycling home last night and crashed into a car.
• That'll teach him, riding his bicycle without lights as usual.
• No actually he bought some new lights earlier this week.
