Phrase of the week

Hello again!! This week we have the expression "Back to the drawing board", which is used when we have to stop an existing plan and start making a new one. It is employed in speaking (but not in writing), and only in a informal context (not in a formal one).

Example:
  • How are you getting on with your project?
  • My tutor said it wasn't a good topic. I have to think of something different by Monday.
  • Well, I guess it's back to the drawing board then.

We hope you have found it useful. More expressions the next week ;-)
